Those eyes say it all!

Did you use paper mache or some other material?

I do agree that he is out of some haunted movie.

Thanks for sharing

OMG I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That is the style that I like to make as well so I can really appreciate the work involved with him....SIMPLY SUPERB!!!

Marionettes must be in the air b/c I just started this past weekend making my organ grinder monkey marionette that I have been developing in my head for some time.  I finally got the courage up to attempt him and already made the mold and set it.  The stringing is what is holding me back since it is going to be a trick marionette doing somersaults so you know that is going to be tricky.

I am so curious as to what medium you used for your marionette.  I'm going to guess polymer clay....am I right???  I have done a few small polymer clay marionettes but all were destroyed by a tug of war game with my son and dog...HA HA HA.  I like using plastic wood b/c it behaves like wood...you can sand, paint, and drill it...fun stuff.  I love the detail in the wrinkles and ADORE the haunting eyes.  The design choice with the eyes is SPOT ON!!!!

MAGNIFICENT MARIONETTE!!!!!!!!!!  Would LOVE to see it in action...HINT HINT.  Perhaps you could make a quick video and upload it to youtube....PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP?!  I sooooooooooooooooo look forward to seeing more of your work!!!

Much Aloha,
Nikole

VERY NICE MARIONETTE!!!!!
l like the costumes. He is so well dressed. He is a gentleman.
Tell us about the control. What type of control are you going to use? Does he have any history or, and a story?
I will appreciate to see all your marionettes.

He is just fantastic, what is he checking his watch for?  You get the feeling it is for something sinister.

All of my marionettes use a simple vertical European style control bar. Joints are eye screws so movent is a little hard to control. I'm no expert at manipulating them.

AWESOME!!!
I like your caricature style. And again, he is so beautifully dressed. I always have hard time making puppets clothes.
