Eurovision gets puppetry entrant!! Posted by Na on Feb 25, 2008
I don't know whether any of you guys follow Eurovision, but I just saw this on the news and thought it was funny.

There's an Irish contestant who uses a chicken (or turkey depending on what version you read/listen to) puppet for their song. I saw a bit of it, and it looked very funny.

That was a good laugh for a quiet morning.  Thanks Na for posting that.

Oh look, I've posted more than 100 times.  Whooo-hooo.  I'm going to chatch up with you Na, It'll be years before I even come close to Billy's current number and by then he'll be a 10,000.  It's great to have you guys to post to.  Not very many people around here understand my interest in puppets.

I had to laugh when I read that... you should see the looks I get when grown people ask what I do for a living. Kids, on the other hand, think it's no different than if I had said I was a fairly princess <--- although being a fairy princess would probably be regarded as a much more envious career.

Sorry, didn't mean to throw the thread off topic.

I have literally just finished watching Dustin the turkey on the Eurovision competition. I have to say, it's weird - not the greatest looking puppet in the world, or the greatest song (ok, yes, it's Eurovision, the songs are always a bit off)... it was certainly interesting though. The booth that hid the puppeteer had flashing lights, a rotating doll... or toy.. something, anyway.

Strange yet funny!
