hello from holland Posted by gompie on Mar 02, 2008
so I write with red my color and.this oneand this and all the bright colors. I hope my english is to understand because I live in the Netherlands. Allmost in the centre of the country. |It is very strange that with me it is evening en with you it is daytime.
I was looking for pattern and ideas for making puppets. One of the hits is this site.In holland there aren't many books about making puppets
or they are to expensive. And shipping them to holland is expensive too.
I hope to find many ideas here ans elswhere on the web.
my name here is gompie, the name of the first puppets with a moving mouth that I'm going to make.
 groetjes (dutch for greetings) gompie

Thanks for joining us, I hope that you get all your needs meet with us.  Ask any questions and add any comments that you want.

For Pattern ideas.......

Have you tried Project Puppet they have patterns that you can buy over the internet and download them and print them off your printer.  You don't have to wait or worry about postage. I hope this helps!!

Here is the link to Project Puppet.....

http://www.projectpuppet.com/shop.htm

Go to the Simple Series Patterns.....these are the only ones you can download and print from you computer the others need to be sent to you since the patterns are very large.

If you check in past topics on this forum their should also be some basic puppet patterns you can use, that are free.

Hope this helps??

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff.  I can't wait to see your first puppet.  You've come to the right place for puppet info.  If someone here can't help you find answers to your questions I know they'll be hard to answer.  If you have questions just ask.

I am very happy to welcome a fellow Dutchman to the site.  All my ancestors are from the Netherlands - my grandmother was born in Grypkerk, Groningen.  However I do not know Dutch other than a few songs and a few words here and there.  But welcome and have fun making puppets!  Please share pictures as soon as you can!
