A fresh face from Chicago says hello. Posted by stuf123 on Mar 02, 2008
Wanted to start off with a nice hello to everyone.  Came across this site doing the research on building my first puppet.  I am a artist/3D animator by trade and have always loved puppets.  So I decided that I want to build puppet versions of myself and my fiancee for our wedding.  The plan is to recreate funny couples scenes from movies with the puppet versions of ourselves for a video that we will show at the reception.  That's the plan anyhow.

So anyway, can't wait to dive into the forum and start doing some learning and start asking some questions.

You've come to the right place.  If you can't find what you need or at least find out where to find what you need here at Puppets and Stuff ... you're probably not going to find it.  You're project with you and your fiancee sounds fun.  I've build a few puppets but never a protrait puppet so I'm interested in seeing what you come up with.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.     I hope all the planning and everything goes smoothly for you. I'm sure the others will be along to along to make sure you are properly welcomed.  There are members from all over the world so for some the day is just starting while we're going to bed.

Make sure to take pictures and post the results.  We also like to see video's of your puppets in action.  If you have any questions just ask

I had a look at your website, and really love the artwork (especially Fozzie Bear!). I'm sure you'll find just what you need here to help you transform your art into a puppet.

Hey Steve... I'm glad that you found us and took the time to register and post an introduction. Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials! I love what you're planning to do with the puppets.

A member of a paper mache list that I belong to, (along with his hardworking fiancee), made up a bunch of half-masks for their guests to wear at their reception - like a masked ball. They came up with a variety of different styles, and it turned out to be a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Is that your fiancee pictured in the photo section of your site?
