Hi, I am brand new to this.  I am making my own sock puppets but I fear it shows.   I am scheduled to put on my show this coming Wednesday.  I was looking for quick easy tips to make them look more real and unique.  Can you help me at all?  I am wanting to do this more in the future if I can find an wasy method to making the sock puppets.
Let me know what pearls of wisdom you might be able to share.

Undeserving1 - Welcome to Puppest and Stuff.  I've never made a sock puppet.  And I don't know what yours look like.  However, I have had some good experiences making a few puppets.  Without knowing what your product is I have only one thing to recommend.  You could go to http://projectpuppet.com.  They have some great puppet patterns that don't cost to much and some good advise on puppet making (of course you can also get great advise hereat P&S).  Since you seem to be gravitating toward sock puppets I would recommend the glorified sock puppet pattern.

Perhaps someone else will also post with some other more helpful information.
