Portrait Puppet for Wedding. Posted by stuf123 on Mar 04, 2008
Hello all!  For those that missed the introduction post, my name is Steve.  I am making portrait puppets of myself and my fiancee so that we can use them to recreate famous scenes from movies in a video that will be shown at the reception.

So...since I have never made a puppet before, nor do I have any knowledge of sewing...I went with the designs from Project Puppet.

And here is what I have done so far.  I decided to do a mock-up version with some old foam I had laying around before doing the final one.  Note:  I do indeed have a large brow.  Cave man like some would say.

Looking good! I've never used one of their patterns before, and I'm keen to see the process and results

I take it this is the Pinhead Puppet Pattern from Project Puppet?  I thought it might be handy for others to have the link if they like this style and want to try it.

It is the punto pattern from project puppet.

It is indeed the Punto Pattern http://www.projectpuppet.com/puppet_pattern_2.php.  So for, I am very impressed with the pattern.

So you guys know what I have in mind, here are the design sketches I did.  If I can get close to these I will be very happy.

I'd say your doing very well so far.  The first step is just getting the basic shap in foam and you definitely have that down for your first puppet.  Can't wait to see how both of them turn out.
