need mini beer cans for my puppets Posted by Jimmy Light Show on Mar 04, 2008
A lot of my puppet shows I do at raves, night spots, open mikes and YES...even kegs parties. I need my dolls to carry mini beer bottle and can replicas. Doesn't matter if they are plastic but that would be a whole lot safer. It would be funny to see my wino dolls walking around with stubby beer bottles for drinking for jokes. (as part of my act) When I perform in front of children I keep it to a bare minimum a lot like the Quebec tv series French Sol played by the late Mark Favreau who was a bumbling booze hound but funny enough to pull it off for effect. I've searched and no one seems to make mini doll type of props and the like. Hope you can help out.
regards,
I do appreciate it greatly!

Hmmm..I would maybe try this, If you can get hold of a logo or a label from a "beverage" of your choice. Scan this image into your computer. You can then buy this iron-on transfer sheets for your printer that you could print out. Then iron-on this image onto a fabric, cut it out in a rectangle shape, roll it and sew it together. Add (2) round pieces for the top and bottom of the can. Stuff with polyfill and you would have "in theory" a plush mini beverage replica. Or maybe not.......
I guess it would be like making a small pillow.
Good Luck!!

When I was in high school, I had to make some fake beers for scene, where two people would crack them open and drink a few on stage. For that I spray painted the sides of soda cans white. THen I printed out a beer label onto clear contact paper, cut it and layed it on. It looked just like a beer can, but inside was coke!
You could try that but use a smaller can such as red bull. Or you could even just use a cardboard tube!

V8 vegetable juice comes in small cans (about 200ml or so) in packs of six in the grocery store that are ideally sized as puppet props so they are "the real thing". Why not try using those in conjunction with the method puck mentioned?
