Website with puppets Posted by Toon Asylum on Mar 07, 2008
Hey Gang -

Has anyone seen this site? It's called Apollo's Pad. It's got some great puppet characters and set design. I'm curious who designed and build the puppets for this series??
**caution** it does contain some adult language.

Hey Toon Asylum - am really glad you like Apollo's Pad... we think it's really funny.

I work for Qube Media, the company responsible for the online marketing of www.apollospad.com

In answer to your question, the show is created by a company called Galleon Plc and the puppetry is from a company called Lenz Entertainment. SonyBMG is the show's global music partner and Good Story Productions oversees the creation of the animated music videos...

I think I've mentioned everyone now

There's a new episode on apollospad.com every week day - like I said, am really glad you like it - and if you can let other people who might like it know it's there, we'd really appreciate it.

Cheers :0)
Nigel.

Nigel, Is this company Canadian?  We have a show that is made in Canada and they have puppets that are very similar in style/materials to these, when I first looked at this video I thought right away that it must be the same crew that created the Canadian TV Sitcom.

Toon thanks for sharing your find.....I love them, the adult humor is what I enjoy more with puppets at times.

Hi Daryl

Yes, they are Candian, so it's more than likely the same crew It's really cool stuff, so we're really pleased - makes it a lot easier to market when it's so good.

Cheers
Nigel.

The puppets are by the Grogs, who have done Nanalan' and Mr. Meaty (co-produced by Lenz Entertainment).

Really great work they do.
I wonder if they have anything to do with the "Crank Yankers" puppets?
I feel they have similar styles or influences.

A bit off topic...but maybe someone out there can help me. I remember seeing a video awhile back that
featured live action and puppets. I remember it was incredible design and production quality. It was centered
around these 2 black crows that were cops. They were both human hand puppets. Does anyone know more about these??
