Zombie! - PG13 - Scary Posted by Sonny on Mar 31, 2008
Hey Crew,

It's been a while since I posted a new puppet. I have been busy with the show and some puppet builds, but I do have pics of the my newer creations and will be posting them.

Here is a Zombie I have made for the internet show Incognito Cinema Warriors, A take off on the Mystery Science Theater 3000 format. Here is their site with a promotion highlighting my Zombie - http://icwxp.com/
I, myself am a big fan of MST3K and was delighted to join the team. They have a fantastic show with 2 puppets and a human. I didnt make the other puppets. They requested a zombie head for an episode....I got in a mode and had a blast. I'm not sure how many "Zombie" movies I watched while building this guy, but I know now that I could be a very successful Zombie hunter with all the info I have absorbed.

The head is a foam base and the outer detail is latex. Scabs, scars and growths were made separately, then applied. Airbrushed for effect and sealed with plasti-dip. This puppet should survive a nuclear explosion...lol

I know it's a bit off my style, but I felt this would open up my use of combinning foam with latex. It's a great process to really make a durable and creative puppet.

Lemme know what you think?

Thanks for looking,Sonny

Wow Sonny...................... That is so realistic. I'm assuming it is since I have never seen a real zombie except in a few movie but the detail is incredible. Can not wait to see what you have hidden away in your lab in the basement,

I think the next time I need dental work I'll call on you those are just the teeth I was looking for. Your talent really amazes me. You are never afraid to take on a challenge. I give you a (10).

That is one disgusting puppet.  Which in this case is the highest complement.  You could use this head to replace the zombie host of Tales From The Crypt.  Your workmanship is fabulous.  No one could have done a better job.

Great Puppet!  It almost looks like it has eye movement but, you don't mention it?

I like the hollow nose look....thanks for sharing.

I made the eyes adjustable, but was told they will be using CG/ Computer Gererated eyes for some shots.

Very Cool!  I can't wait to see him in action.  I've always been a big fan of Zombie movies, "the badder the better"!
