Hey guys I just watched a tut on shaping foam with a belt sander has anyone done this??? I want to make noses and stuff like that and snipping with cutters only gets me so far any help would be great thanks

You can also use a Dremel tool with a piece of sand paper at the end. It works great and you have more control over where you want to sand than just a large flat service.

Be very careful when you use any type of sander on your foam. It is very easy for the foam to be garbed by the sander and ripped out of your hands resulting in a mutilated mass of foam. If you use a light touch you'll be fine.

yes I agree with Shawn...I have had many finely tuned pieces fly across the room ruined after a lazy sand job...pay attention and make it a slow process.
