First puppet with antron fleece Posted by Onath on Apr 08, 2008
Hey guys,

So we have been gearing up for a new T.V. Pilot that we were asked to make a puppet for and perform. He is a little french chef puppet he is a blast. He is also my first time using antron fleece and would love to know what you guys think. I put a lot of time into this puppet and I'm pretty proud of him. So let me know how you guys think he turned out.

P.S. The hat was a pain.

catch you all later,

Jon Little

By the way there is a seem right in the middle of the head. I love how this fabric just hides the seems..

Great character!! Do you have an video clips ?

Toon Asylum asked me in a private message how I attached the hat.  Well the truth was I was having a difficult time trying to figure out how to do it. Then staring at my Muppet action figures it hit me. What about a magnet.  So I put several magnets underneath the hair of the puppet. Then I attached a couple to the chef's hat and voila a hat that stays on but can also come off. Be sure to make sure the attracting sides are facing each other.  Another thing is depending on how thick the foam is or how heavy the hat is you may need to get stronger magnets.

Great French Chef.

I could see how that hat could be a challenge.

I love the magnet idea for attaching and removing, that is a great idea for anyone with the same delima if they want to switch hats around. Thanks for sharing such a great idea.

Glad that the antron fleece worked out for you....you got it to work for you with hiding the seems it is a great material!!!

Keep up the great work and can't wait to see some video....

I think he is perfect.......... being a retired Chef myself. I say he fits the part just right. You did a great job. You mentioned about hiding the seam, that is why this fabric is so expensive. It is worth every penny if perfection is what you are striving for. Good Job!
