Hey:

There are many resources on the web you should check out.  First of all:

http://www.sagecraft.com/

Look at the puppet building section.  There are a lot of places to go from there.  Youtube has  some really good videos.  Go there and search for Paul Loois' puppet building videos.  He shows how to make a basic moving mouth hand puppet without a complicated poly foam construction.

Project.com has some excellent patterns that will get you started.  They aren't cheap, but include CDs that give you step by step instructions.

Finally, check out The Foam Book (by Gray Seal Puppets),  Puppet Mania and Puppet Planet (both by John Kennedy, a former Muppeteer).  They are available from Amazon and other sources.

Any other questions, just fire away.

Rootrage, If your new to puppet building you should really have a go at some simpler designs to build your confidence with working with foam and fleece/fur. It will be very hard jumping in right at the deep end and you may be left disappointed with the end result. Try a simpler design first, its not recommended that you jump right ahead and attempt a replica.

Cheers,
Dan

Rootrage2,

It would help if we knew what skills you already have.  Do you sew? Do you have access to a sewing machine?  What types of projects have you done in the past?  I hope this does not insult you but what age bracket are you in?  You know like are you in middle school, high school, graduate school, etc.

Hey Shawn:

Rootrage2 is 13.  Daryl and I have been talking to him, but anything you might have (such as the above) would be great.
