Plush monsters to monster puppets Posted by spookydaddy on Apr 15, 2008
i have been looking to this forum for ideas and answers for a long time but i have never felt like i have anything worthy of postin.
but here is a little test i did for a pal. i am making this puppet for him and i just wanted to show him how he was coming along. that's why he looks so so rough and has so many pins in him but he is coming along.
my usual gig is making plush monsters

but now i am trying to use my monster making skills and eye for form and pattern on puppets.
this is still really rough but i am going to video a puppet i just finished last night. but i have to wait until my own little monster, i mean 2 year old goes down for a nap.
any feedback would really be appreciated.
i'll add the new stuff as soon as i can. i really like this new puppet a whole lot.
he needs tweaking. better thumb grip, arms moved up some, and i still need to rework how his rods attatch. but i just need him done enough to film today as part of my application to the crafty bastards fair in washington d.c. http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/craftybastards/
i did it last year and it was a real blast! it had around 10,00 attendies last year and this year i am gonna rock the house. i am taking this guy i am filimin today to do man on the street style interviews with other venders and attendies and stuff. it is all part of a web show in the works. :-D

Greengo is great! I love him. I really like your other work. I hope now that you have "opened the door" that you'll step on in and join in the fun. I think you have a lot to offer.

I love how you integrated the teeth into the mouth. The colours are great as well, they all tie into each other. Great job, can't wait to see more!
