Hey I'm using contact cement for my foam on foam action...would this be what you guys use for antron fleece to antron fleece action or antron to foam or are there better alternatives?
Thanks again,

Do you need to actually glue the fleece to foam?
Re: Glues Posted by DustBunny on Apr 16, 2008
I can think of a few places where that would be helpful...why? is that not a wise idea (keep in mind..I am very new, and consequently probably making an idiot mistake haha)

It seems that you want to highlight some of the details in a face area by gluing down the antron fleece?
Yes it is the method for area's that you want to show details but not all over the face, however you should keep some of the stretch in as many area's as well.

I would look for a fabric glue at your local sewing or craft store. I like FabriTac simply because is is fast drying very strong.

On the subject of glues....does anyone know a "contact cement" or such glue to use with foam that would dry clear? I'm building puppets that will not be covered in fleece. Thank you!

FabriTac dries clear.

Contact Cement does not come in clear, it comes down to how you apply it and how much to keep the seams clear of glue. One method is using a chunk of foam and putting a very little on the foam piece and dab it on each side of foam you want to glue together wait till it gets tacky and then put the sides together. This should remove the problem of the glue oozing out of the seems.

Thanks for the help! I'm really not too worried about the seeping...because I do use a small piece of foam to apply it as well. I've just never made a puppet that wasn't covered with fleece, so I wasn't sure if this was a problem.
Thanks again!

OH! One other thing...what kind of glue do you think this builder is using? It's clear, and apparently dries VERY quickly! ; Is it FabriTac?
Thanks!
Thanks!
