The glue in the video is a contact cement that is not available in the US. it seems to dry "very" quickly because the process was edited down.

Thanks! Too bad we can't get something that dries as quickly!!!! Maybe someday, someone will come up with it! lol

Hi:
I use a different contact adhesive than others on this forum. Here I go again Shawn and Daryl.
Try Crafters Pick Ultimate. It's available from Hobby Lobby, Michaels and other craft supply stores. It can also be found here: http://www.crafterspick.com/
It's great! Very strong bond, washes up with water, no fumes so you can use it inside without ventilation or filter mask. The only down side is that it has a long dry time and is very viscous. I don't know if it would be the choice for fleece to foam seams, but it is worth a test. It is definitely what I use for foam to foam.
The company has a wide range of glues for different applications so they may have a fabric glue too. Check out the web site.

I am wondering if anyone ever figured out what glue was used in the video posted?
I am working on a puppet right now and am having trouble figuring out what glue I need to use. The body needs to be totally round, so it's a little difficult figuring this one out!

Sounds like you are referring to the Nice Braga video on YouTube. They're using a contact adhesive which isn't sold in the U.S. The folks that did that video posted some info on the product last month.
In direct response to your reference to needing a puppet to come out perfectly round; this wouldn't depend on the adhesive as much as on the pattern you use. Also, if you need a perfectly smooth surface then a pieced together construction may not give you the best results. It all depends on the performance situation. If you don't want the seams to be visible another construction technique may be required such as molding and casting from a sculpture.

Does Fabritac dry quickly or does it take just as long as contact cement? I tried using contact cement but it took 5 hours before I could put things together. Is this normal? (I was glueing plastic to felt.)
What do you all use for felt to plastic (for the mouth piece)?

It could be that you are applying the contact cement to heavy............. a little bit goes a long way. Just use a scrap piece of foam and dab a bit on the plastic and a little on the felt. It should start to feel tacky in just a short time. I use a hair dryer to speed up the process. If it took that long you must have really coated it good.

I have been using Duall #88 cork glue for the last couple years. It is clear to start and dries clear. It is also thoroughly toxic and needs a well-ventilated room. I order mine from http://www.votawtool.com/zcom.asp?pg=products&specific=johppnf8. One way to speed dry time is to use a blow-dryer, as David Pannebecker shows in his videos.

PuppetBubba - I used fabritac on the first couple of puppets I built and it worked ok for foam or fabric but did like to stick to plastic. I don't use fabrictac at all anymore. when it dries its stiff and I don't like that. It scratches my hand when I opperate the puppet. now adays I use water base contact cement (it has low odor) and a hot glue gun. To speed up the dry time for the contact cement I use a hair dryer.
