I retired ( in my early 60's) and have been asked to teach English to children in a small vilage in guatemala.

I don't have any skills in being a ventriloquist and don't really want to spend a lot of time learning. but I was thinking of having the full body puppet sit on my knee (like a ventriloquist dummy) but have me play the part of the not so smart (pardon the phrase) "gringo" and have the puppet be the smart one that really teaches English.

Welcome to the group Evensong,

I hope that your puppet and yourself will have many success in teaching english to people. If you have questions, suggestions for others, comments, anything, dont hesitate to step right in. And remember, a stupid questions is one that is not asked.

Puppet hug,
SHould
