First of my POPpet series Posted by Nikole H. on May 07, 2008
I have created my very own POPpet line of puppets. These are the pop up puppets. I will be making a lot of varieties of the one that is for sale right now in my shop.

You have out done yourself this time. The expression on that worms face is priceless. Where do you get your inspiration.
You really amaze me with your talent. Thanks for sharing. Can You get them with nuts or even caramal?

HA HA HA...thanks! Yes, I am working on caramel and nuts right now. The nuts are going to be odd shaped beads that really do look like chopped peanuts. My inspiration for this came when I was working at Marceline's Candy Shop in Downtown Disney. I was the one who made all the candy apples. I thought that they were too pretty to eat and was trying to think of a way to capture it forever. I plan on making all the types of apples that I would make at the show kitchen. I have in mind ones that are covered in chocolate, marshmallows, nuts, caramel, cookies.....you name it and I want to make it....hehe. The worm was soft sculptured using nylon material. You can dye your own white nylons but here in Hawaii, which I lovingly refer to as "Little Tokyo," has a rich culture in Japanese arts. I am lucky to get my hands on Japanese crafting materials and one of them is the nylon art. I am hoping to do a few tutorials for my blog on the wonderful art and offer the supplies in my Etsy shop. It is so much fun to do and is instant gratification. Here is a picture of one of my sold items which is a needle felted caterpillar. The flower stand in which the caterpillar sits on is made using the nylon netting technique. Here is the picture of it.
