I saw an awesome puppeteer at a Ren Faire down is Sarasota, Florida years ago. He was a tall, slim guy who really put his dragon marionette through its paces.

I wonder what ever happened to that guy...

That dragon was the result of the combined efforts of Richard Taker and myself. His body was a combination of fiberglass and paper mach'e which I would not recommend doing.   I do love him and he hangs here behind me in my office.

I've always loved that photo.

I wish I had brought a camera with me when we went to Sarasota, but considering all of the time I spent studying photography I'm really bad at remembering to bring one along when I travel. I actually remembered the last time we visited my dad in Florida, and then it sat in my suitcase the whole time.

PS
I wanted to mention a couple of previous discussions that we've had here relating to puppets and renaissance faires...

PPS
If you make a puppet for a ren faire in Wisconson, I nominate a talking cheese puppet. That oughta tickle the cheddarheads in the crowd.

That is a great picture and puppet, it looks like the production had a lot of action in it, Shawn?

Thanks for reposting it for us all.......
