I was thinking you use a pattern of a fabric animal or puppet to make a foam head and than make a covering of fleece or fur.... has somebody tried that.

Yes, taking a pattern of a teddy bear or other animal would work: just buy a second hand toy and unstitch it, and use that as a pattern. However, you will have to remember to modify it to include the mouth placement.

I had good news from the bookstore They can order the foam book and going to do it. I only have to wait two or three weeks. (I believe I don't have the patience but I have to)
