to Puppets and Stuff, John. We have several other members from England and we're glad to add you to the gang. What style of puppets are you interested in building? Muppet Style? Marrionette? Etc. If you have any questions give us a post and you'll probably get a variety of answers. I personally look forward to seeing what you come up with.

If you go to my blog page http://bashfulpuppet.blogspot.com/ on the right hand side you will find some free puppet patterns that can be helpful when your first starting out. Most are very simple which is also helpful when you don't really have anything specific in mind.
What is your background? Do you have any crafting and sewing skills? What kind of tools do you have to work with?

Welcome and thanks for taking the time to sign up.
As Jon said that you can ask any questions and we all will give you some ideas. Don't be shy!!
It seems that you have been directed to some patterns that you can use, if they don't happen to work for you please let us know and we all have other sites with free patterns or ideas.

Welcome English John!
Getting a degree in animation sounds pretty cool, and it ties right in with real-time puppetry. I'm looking forward to seeing you around, and hearing about your experiences.
