Re: help with puppet Posted by mbarrow on Jun 04, 2008
i using foam. is there any tips on manipulating a female puppet or manipulating puppets in general?

Yes but maybe we should get her built first then talk over performing her. Its hard to explain unless you have a puppet to try it out on.

ok
i may be able to get foam. i have drawn a head and i will put it on later. now what?
Re: help with puppet Posted by mbarrow on Jun 04, 2008
i may use contact cement instead of glue. i will post my drawings of the head very soon.

Get the foam and follow the directions that was given earlier in this topic from Dr. Puppet and then cut that shape out.  It can be really hard to explain things until you have the material in front of you.

Have you decided on which puppet you want to make is it either the Avenue Q or the cartoon one?

im sorry if i was unclear. im doing the cartoon one with the body shape and personality of lucy.

It might be better to use a glue gun for this project since contact cement can be pretty strong stuff and you need to be wearing a mask and rubber gloves when using it.  It is a little safer to use outside but you should always wear rubber gloves and a mask anytime you are using it.
