how do you actually go about making a puppet body

In the picture that Angel posted notice that there is a seam center front and back on the body. This seam is a dart in the pattern. The dart in this pattern would have been a "thin" triangle. It looks like there may be small darts at the shoulders also. Here is a rough drawing of what I mean.

Use the drawing which Shawn gave you as a guide, cut two of these onto foam and glue these together, remembering to leave the top & bottom unglued for the head & arm entry. After this refine the shape by snipping pieces of foam out & then gluing the hole back together. This is very simple and really you just need to go for it and discover your own ways of working.
Cheers,
Dan

Bahanu,
Your welcome, remember that was a very rough drawing of what I thought it may be. I am sure that it well need quite a bit of fine tuning.
