Do you want the lids to blink or be fixed in place?

hiya,
if you dont want moving eyelids then you could use some fleece. if your eyes are ping pong ball halves or half a polystyrene ball, you can stretch the fleece over it and hot glue it underneath. you could use a pipecleaner or black felt to glue along the edge to make eyelashes.
another material you could use is craft foam. it comes in sheets of different colours and could be used in a similar way as i said above.
heres a picture of my puppet that might help you see what i mean.
hope this gives you an idea
cheers

I have used the type of eyes that are used in soft sculpt animals and dolls.I tried placing a bit of fleece over the
top and it just didn't look right.Maybe I didn't use large enough eyes.I hope to post a picture of him soon.Perhaps I will wait until then and get the  assistance then. Thanks for the advice.Maybe I should use something else for eyes.!?
:spin (my head really is doing that, now that I am  getting into making puppets)

The technique should work with even the soft sculpt eyes you have. It may take some tweaking to get the right shape of fleece that works.  A half round or "ball" eye normally well look better doing this but I have done it with the type of eyes you are using.
