Julie Taymor - For Inspiration Posted by brooklyn on Jun 20, 2008
Hi All,

I watch TEDTalks on my video Ipod all the time. They are pretty amazing and I can't recommend them enough. You are bound to find some you'll enjoy. Recently a talk with film and theater Director Julie Taymor was posted, it was from the conference in 1998.

It's very inspiring and and entertaining. It is long (almost a 1/2 hour) but well worth watching from start to finish.

Have a nice weekend.

Julie's interesting, she has a very clear vision and a great history of working on the stage that has helped her move into films too. She is known for being "difficult," which I guess translates as confident and firm. Her work is unique and doesn't seem to fit into any standard formula, unfortunately that usually brings criticisms about her lack of conformity. lucky for us.
