New 99 Acre Short "Hasselhoffs Soul" Posted by DrPuppet on Jul 01, 2008
In the final installment of the Russian arc Bud and Barbara are on an island run by nazi chickens who intend to open the crate and realease the soul of David Hasselhoff.
Tell me what you guys think. This is the hardest one yet! Its about 50 meg to download from the feed. We are working on making other versions.

YAY! Another episode!
Just sat down and watched this and it was another fantastic instalment to the current storyline. But felt the general lack of music spoilt any viewing experience intended from the video, namely the final opening of the Hassle of Hoff. Was it a lack of original music to use? or was it a speedy decision to get the episode out?
The CGI was gorgeous and comical and definately looked the part, the puppets brilliant as always. The scarred cat puppet was interesting, nice and tall. And the chickens and leader Rooster were hilarious. And a great 'what could happen next' ending...

Original music is somthing we have very little of. I did not want to use the Raiders of the lost ark music so a friend of mine made the ending music for me based on that. The opening musical bits were done by him to the german them from the last episode. Since I don't do music myself not sure what I would do for music.

Ahhh, no worries, I know for a fact it is REALLY hard to get original music done for original productions, for example, my recent audio adventure 'Tempromancy of the Daleks' had a composer who completed an episode and a half of music and then disappeared off the face of the internet, never to be seen again. So I'm missing very important chunks of music, so either having to recreate it myself or reuse the stuff he's produced already.
If its any help, I can produce some reasonable music for you to use. But all respect to your composer friend, he's done a fantastic job, albiet sounding very MIDI-like :p

He is a keyboard and guitarist. Originally we were suppose to have three music tracks the beginning which he had done and the opening the ark music like from raiders and the ending that is there now. He was not able to produce the middle piece because of prior obligations. It took longer than her had. In addition to do this for me as a favor he writes and produces music for a band here where i live.

Great job, Jay. You're a great story teller.
Honestly, I didn't notice the absence of the music. Perhaps it would have added to the drama of the crate opening but I was too busy laughing at the idea of David Hasselhofs essence being something to be invoked.
BTW, I loved the cat's latin. Very funny.
Great job
PS: inquiring minds want to know if we will find out what happened to barbara.

oh by the way not sure if anyone realised but all the ghosts inclkuding the big one that came to the camera were rod puppets shot in a water tank.

I hadn't noticed the technique on the ghosts actually. Though they did look very different so wasn't sure why. Great work.
