Hi all,

I recently heard about Puppet Rampage in Perth, and was intrigued after seeing a bit from the 2007 DVD of it. I was wondering - is the event open to international people, or do you need to be part of an American organisation to attend? And can anyone send me info on the next one (if there is another one)? I've been looking at the Puppeteers of Am. site, but can't find any info.

Every other year PofA (Puppeteers of America) holds a national convention. In 2007 it was called Puppet Rampage. That is what you are speaking of, am I correct? On the alternating years regional festivals are held presented by the local guilds.  That is what is happening this year. You can find a list of them and the contact information for the next national convention (I don't think they have named it yet and it is at the bottom of the page) on the PofA Festivals Page.  The next national convention is going to be in Atlanta Georgia July 14 -19, 2009. I don't think you have to be a member of PofA but there is a discount normally on registration if you are a member.

Yes, the 2007 event is what I'm talking about - so the next national one is next year. Sounds great, I'd really love to come over and attend. Thanks Shawn!
