Thanks Shawn, I know that both Ray DaSilva and Wili Nold are interested in the results.

Just in case they happen to be reading this thread, I think it would be important for them to do some heavy promotion of the re-release of the book so puppeteers where aware of it being available again. Of course they are welcome to announce it hear but perhaps an announcement in PofA's Puppetry Journal and on other sites would take their sales to where it was worth the reprint. In fact I would wager that PofA might be interested in a full article on H. Fettig and the book being available again.

I would agree - but it would be better to extend the news to UNIMA and its branches. I know a few Aussies who are looking for copies.

I would love to have the compiled version, count me in.I think the idea of sending cards or letters is a great .Before I had my strokes I worked in a home for seniors.Believe me,they all love when the receive mail, cards, letters small personal things make their day.Small gifts are also greatly appreciated.Things that we don't think much of mean a great deal to them.Pictures simple sayings,What I think would be a nice idea,if everyone were to send him a picture(if his eyesight is still with him)of some of the puppets we have made or use.The other things is we need to know his health conditions ie:does he have his mental facualties, alzhimers and senility may limit what to send, eyesight, hearing mobility.I would be interested in corresponding with him.unfortunately unless he speaks Englih we would be at a stalemate, the only German I know is weinerschnitzel!

I do speak a very little French.I mean a VERY VERY little French, high school French(1969).I could probably order him a glass of milk, not saying that the way I ordered it would be correct,in fact he might not get a glass of milk,he might get a glass of who knows wat,or he might get milk, not necessarily in a glass.
I am sure there is a place on the web that would translate it into German and visa versa.I don't know all that much about computers or the web. But thanks for the information.

I just noticed your little smilely icon.Very cute.A little berret. You've obviously been to old Quebec city. Many of the artists wear them.It truly gives you the feeling that you are in Paris.!(Not that I've ever been to Paris, but I can pretend.)

I love that icon a lot and finally had a reason to use it. Thanks for noticing it.
I wish I could go to Paris myself I have heard it is a beautiful place with great shopping.
Good luck with connecting with H. Fettig if you do connect I hope you let us know anything you find out. I do like the idea that we could thank him for all the great work and how he has influenced us all with his great book. This might be enough for him to consider to have the book reprinted for many more generations to enjoy and collect.
