John
I wasn't born until the 50's but I do remember playing with some old tin toys. Here is a website I found that gives some ideas http://www.tinmantintoys.com/candn/index.html
You may want to look at dolls from the 1930's as well. That would at least help you get a good drawing.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Foam and latex might not be the best materials to get an old fashioned tin toy look, but you could probably approximate it superficially. We had a discussion about a similar subject last year:

Google's your friend, learn to dig deep.
Good luck John!

I'm not quite sure what " AI the movie " is but if you know the complete title you can look it up here.
http://www.imdb.com/
Perhaps that will enlighten you a bit.

AI is the title of a movie
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212720/
I haven't seen it, but wouldn't expect it to be associated with a tin toy...
(Unless of course, this is the right movie )

Thanks Na........... good detective work
The movie seems to be reasonably priced, it may be worth buying for reference to your project. Steven Spielberg got to be a good movie.
