Hi I am new Posted by kacilyn on Jul 17, 2008
Hi my name is Kaci and I am new here and new to puppet making. I guess you would call me the prop chick I make the props for a great puppet team named "Jesus Rocks" we are in riverside Ca. We went though a big change and now we need some new puppets and of corse we have very little money so I thought I could make a few. I know how to sew I am really very good at it and crafts are my thing so I should be able to handle it but I was looking though the post trying to find a pattern or instructions to make a human puppet the ones we use ore called feather heads but any human would work  I have found a few but when I try to use the links in the post I find none of them work so is there anyone that can ether e-mail me or post a free pattern that is basic and fairly easy for my first time but that will make some good humans.  Thank you soooooo much for all your help  I will post the puppets I make from the patterns.

Welcome to P&S.  It looks like Billy has given you some great links for patterns.  The most complicated part is the head once you've figured out home to make that part you ought to be able to build all the other parts.

If you have any more questions be sure to ask.

Thank you guys so much for all the help I can not wait to start I have been colecting all the stuff I will need so now I have the patterns and I am ready to go.  What pattern do you think makes the best human?  Thank you again I will post pics as I go
Re: Hi I am new Posted by Billy D. Fuller on Jul 18, 2008
All of the patterns I gave you make a basic human type head & body .... it is left up to you to bring them to life! Can't wait to see what you come up with. As Jon said if you get stuck at any point we are for you to ask questions. Email me and I can give you some helpful stuff to help your ministry.
