Yeah hardware shops will usually have it and the ones that do some residential electrical will give you a larger variety for colored ones, larger diameters, etc. Electrician supply shops in the yellow pages will usually find a local parts place within 10 min. Think about all the houses that get wired up / fixed / installs / etc.. it's never-ending!!!

I'm such a hardware / parts shop whore it's sad. I drag my wife around to these places from time to time and I think she's amazed at the weird places i find for supplies.. When I tell the store clerks what it's for and give them a card they usually just think I'm bonkers but are always happy to help out.. Hell it gives them a story to now tell the next 234283 customers who will have identical needs until I arrive next
