I am going Michelle! Are you? I put something on this a few days ago, but no one responded. Wanted to see if any one from the forum was going too!

Hi Lisa,
Yep, I'm going. It was a last minute sort of spur of the moment type thing.... I just found out I was going on Satruday. I contacted them to find out the process for participating as a dealer and lo & behold, they had a spot come available!
I've never attended before, have you?

I have never attended before either! But I really need some marketing training! And wanted to improve in the area of magic! I will look forward to seeing you there and meeting you in person - of course seeing all your beautiful puppets in person will be a bonus too!!!

Sounds like a plan, we can look lost together! I'm so excited to finally be able to put the face with the name (in person) of someone here on Puppets N Stuff, we will have to make everyone here jealous with an update of the good time we had at the convention.
Hugs,
-Michele

A great plan indeed!! When are you arriving? I am attending the marketing classes on Tuesday evening and Wednesday so I get in on Tuesday afternoon. I will look for you in the dealers area? Or is there another plan?
Re: Kidabra International Posted by Puppet-Planet on Jul 31, 2008
Dealers can't unload and set up until Wednesday evening and the room opens for the first time on Thursday morning. I plan to drive in some time on Wednesday afternoon or early evening to start unloading.
Looking for me in the dealers area is probably the best idea. But grab me if you see me before then, I'll be hard to miss as all of the shirts I wear to these events are solid color polo style and embroidered on the upper left area in the front with my logo and company name.
Check out my gallery, I'll upload some recent photos of myself that were taken at VentHaven this month too.
Cant wait to meet ya!

Say Michele, if you would like to save money on the hotel room, I would be happy to share a room with you. I have my reservations all made and did not want to risk a "stranger" as a roommate since my husband could not attend with me - I am not really very extroverted in "normal" life. Let me know - like I said I will be arriving on Tuesday, and I could let the hotel know. BUT if you have other plans that is fine - sometimes it is nice to just have some alone time - which I was looking forward to. However saving money is always nice too. Just FYI.
Re: Kidabra International Posted by Puppet-Planet on Aug 01, 2008
Oh, I hear ya about not being an extrovert. A few of the long time regulars around here can tell you that I don't socialize much and to a chat forum that must seem quite "snobbish". I always have to put myself into a social mode or mind set when attending convention events because, I must admit, that when I socialize at them I usually do have more fun than just sticking to myself. I always come home exhausted from the effort though, chatting and thinking of "small talk" takes a lot out of you when your not used to applying yourself in that area.... for me anyway.
I actually haven't obtained a room yet, isn't that terrible? Since it was my first year I wanted to wait until I got into the area to see what other hotels were around that cost less because $90 a night is steep when your on single parent income and it sure cuts into any profits that I MIGHT be making. If I don't make any profits, well then, the $90 a night is extra painful. I'd love to share a room so that we both can save money and I promise that you'll find a quiet, NORMAL, roomie in me and I don't even smoke if thats important to you.
Feel free to send me an e-mail directly: michele@puppet-planet.com
and here is my business cell number too: 727-804-5455
Only 12 more days for me! YAY!
