Logo for a puppet theatre Posted by Hamsteri on Jul 31, 2008

This is a sketch for a logo for my puppet theatre.

Message Image

I just drew it on the paper, coloured it and then scanned it. How can I make it look more professional?

Translation:
Nukketeatteri Herneenpalko = Puppet theatre Pea pod
Seilataan yhdessä ihmeelliseen maailmaan = Let´s sail together to the wonderful world

Hello... May I help?
I like the hand paint style on it, very nice! Like the Pea pod. ) The typography should some how complement better the drawing. That is just my opinion...  And the title, should be more dominant than the line down. This is a full color logo, how will this be reproduce? T shirts? Posters?

Of course you can help me titere! Have you any suggestion how can I, like you wrote, make the logo so that the typography complement better the drawing? Your right - the title should be more dominant.

Logo for business card and for posters. I just figure out that if I use the logo in business car, there must be also my contact information.

You can start by removing that typography, and hand write instead. Make it quite bold, and serif. Write the title in a "bow" shape, not in a flat line. And we see how it looks...

If you are going to send the "image" to a printing company that you'll need to clean up the graphic in a program like Photo Shop. I love the texture of the page in the scan but It would not reproduce well in print. It would be better to clean all that out and then print the image on paper like you have drawn the image on. Also by cleaning up the existing image you could use computer fonts (typography) in the end logo. Like Titere I would suggest a handwritten style even if you use a computer font.

Yes that is the idea!   Now you can play with different fonts and their location or angle and see what you like the best.

I think typed letters would be OK myself.  I think it makes it look more professional.  Just choose a playful font.
