Yes that is SE Michigan. Where in MI are you from? FOAM Factory is about 3-4 miles west of I-94 just north of Mt. Clemens on M- 59.

I'm in Grand Rapids.  I passed through the state today, but being a Sunday, the foam store would have been closed.  How far is it from say Detroit or Ann Arbor?

It is about a half hour north of Detroit and an hour north east of Ann Arbor.
My family lives in Otsego, so I'm always going to West Michigan and my daughter goes to Grand Valley. Perhaps we could connect when I'm coming west and I could bring you some foam. We will be taking our daughter to GVSU on the 24th of August and we could bring foam with us if you wanted to meet somewhere along the way. Let me know this week if you want to work something out as we will be leaving on vacation on Friday. I'll need to go pick up the foam for you. You can pay me when I drop it off.

I'll pass on the foam pick-up offer.  That is very generous of you.  Thanks!  I eventually want to carve a puppet out of a block of foam, but I haven't designed it yet.

I checked out your website.  Looks like we are sisters in Christ.  Do you have a puppet team at church?  I suspect the children's pastor at my church would like me to start one.  He's sending me to SummerFest next Saturday in Holland.  The thought of leading a team intimidates me.  I'd rather build puppets.

I moved to this area one year ago and do not currently have a team at church. I was co-director and director of Kidz-4-Kidz for 12 years. If you ever need any help with starting your team let me know, I'd love to help you out. Go to the summerfest, it will help you tremendously. If by some chance Vicki Knuckles is teaching any workshops go to them. She was my co-director for six years and actually started K-4-K. If your pastor is supporting you, that's half the battle. Go for it!

Thanks for the encouragement!  Did you end up writing your own scripts when you had a puppet team? or did you rely on materials from others?
