Any sewing machine well be fine for sewing Antron Fleece.  I don't believe you need to spend a lot of money on one right away. Most house hold stores like WalMart, Sears, Target etc well have an inexpensive sewing machine. You might even be able to find one at a second hand store. Brother is one name brand you might look at that is the lower end of the market.  I picked one up for around $100.00 a year or so ago and it is just fine for home projects.

I second this.

FYI Hand sewing is best with antron fleece since it hides the seems, however I understand it is time consuming.

If you wish to use a sewing machine then Id reccommend using regular polar fleece. You can make some quite expensive antron look like normal fleece if you use a sewing machine and it defeats the point of using it. Hand sewing may be time consuming, but if your new to puppet making then I would go for sewing by hand, you will find some good stitches if you google and can pick up some speed once youve got the nack of it.

Good luck,

As Shawn said if you are buying a machin a brother is a good machine to use I just recently bought 2.1 for me and 1 for my grandson to use. They are inexpensive and not a bad machine.I am purchasing a high eend machine and an emboridery machine for myself this fall, but for the time being the brother serves the purpose well.

I handsew face and hands and machine sew clothing and non-visible seams.  I use a sewing machine that I bought at a garage sale.
