Not to high Jack Julies thread here................... but take care Jon. I hope it was not a major injury. I had a friend who lost some fingers with a circular saw. Please keep us informed............... and be careful. If there is anything we can do let us know.

not as bad as it could have been.  cut into the muscle in the palm below the thumb.  took about 15-20 stitches to close it up.  the cut was with the grain of the muscle so if i follow instructions it should heal up 100% in about eight weeks.  not much pain.  i took a few advil last night but thats all.  its either because there aren't very many pain receptors in the palm or i have a high pain tolerence.

it'll slow me down when it comes to puppet building.   and i have two projects on the table one for myself and one for a teacher friend.  oh well.  i'll just have to take it easy.  maybe in a few weeks i'll get permission to have limited use.  it's my left hand so i could get by if i could use it a little i could get some work done.

It is truly amazing how our bodies can heal something like that.  Take is easy and like Billy said, we'll be praying for your speedy recovery. 

Billy, don't worry about highjacking the thread some things are just more important than others, like people safety and health.

Take care of your hand.It's amazing how losing the use of 1 hand if even for a little while restricts what we can do.I smahed my left shoulder 2 years ago,I feel out of the tub and broke it(my shouldr,not the tub).I was almost a year before having full use of my arm.Do as the doctor says!

I love the puppet a lot and really glad that you jumped in and gave it a try.....the results speak for themselves.  I hope your customer will love the puppet as much as I enjoyed looking at the pictures of it's progress.  Keep up the good work. 

Jon....ouch!  Speedy recovery.  My thoughts are with you during this time of limitation.   I have a band saw and I am very careful around it (I am not saying you weren't careful), I just can't afford to lose a finger or a THUMB!   I wouldn't be able to open the close the puppets mouth.....these thoughts are scaring me, I better stop. LOL
