Here is a neat video on making a mouth mechanism..... Posted by StiqPuppet Productions on Aug 16, 2008
I just found this on utube and thought that people would love to look at this how to video. It is to make a removable mechanism to change a hand in mouth puppet into a rod puppet and vice versa. It looks easy enough and hopefully will inspire many of you or at least bring new ideas.....

Great find Daryl, as always. But i am partial about that kind of technology, for one, i think its great because it prevents any sweat buildup in the puppet if its a rod that controls it instead of the puppeteers hand directly, but i saw some of the video's that puppeteer made and i found that it made the movement of the puppet a bit static. I dont know, maybe its just me, but i love the movement a direct hand makes to a puppet. More fluidity and less rigidity. But i guess its just my own preference. Maybe there are people who prefer the more static movements.
