An old show Posted by Chris Arveson on Aug 21, 2008
It's funny how a conversation can suddenly give you an idea. I was on the phone with my Dad the other day and told him that I was starting to get serious about putting my show together for my Russian Christmas trip. He commented that he wished he could see it. (He is rather unhealthy, and also is 2,000 miles away.) I had sent him a DVD of video I had shot four years ago which included the show we did that year. That didn't help a whole lot, since it is in Russian.
Suddenly it hit me . . . subtitles!
So, since that's the only show I have on video in its entirety, that's the one that I put subtitles on. It's in two parts because of Youtube's 10 minute rule. The show is taken from Leo Tolstoy's short story, "Where Love Is, God Is." There was a great claymation video made in 1977 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0475655/. What's really cool about the claymation video is that it is narrated by Leo Tolstoy's daughter, Alexandra.
Anyway, here are the two Youtube links:
Part 1

Part 2
" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>
https://youtu.be/http://www.youtube.com/v/D5u_ebHyk-s&hl=en&fs=1
I wasn't impressed with the software's ability to synchronize sound and picture. We were unsynchronized enough as it was.
I hope you enjoy it.
