Which effect?

Na you are to caught up on what went wrong that you don't see the simplicity and effectiveness of the video that you did.  It really has an underwater/mystical feel to it all.....that was the effect.

Keep it up......

... No, just too caught up in specifics!! I thought you might have meant lighting or something

I'm glad it did feel mystical and underwater. I tried a couple of weird things and it came about well.

The first clip was almost by accident. I picked up the puppet after the screen fell down, and suddenly realised I could do an upside-down swim. Then for the end (after the credits), I was just having fun, and not really worrying about precision. I started off doing a lot of slow precise stuff because it's hard to catch all the details of the puppet in fast motion. But then when I saw the rough film, I liked the fact that she moves more naturally the more you are silly with it.

Also, there's the moment when she first dives upwards, and all you see is this very watery shadow, kind of like in a horror movie. Very neat, and also very accidental.

Evidently, simplicity is the way to go
