I like his colour Helen!  I think he turned out great.  I've used feather boas for hair before and people love them.  It adds a lot of movement.  I've glued mine on, but sewing strikes me as the more professional way to do it.  Mistakes would be easier to fix too!  Cutting misplaced boa off with an Exacto is a pain and leaves a mess - I found out the hard way.
