Cactus Puppets + Possible Tutorial? Posted by Gabriel G on Sep 07, 2008
Hey all,
I was wondering, have any of you ever made a cactus puppet? I remember seeing pictures of one here on the forum made by Amy [DearMyrah] and found a link on her site but its broken and she hasn't replied to my message yet.
I was wondering if any of you had saved the tutorial or could at least provide me an explanation as to how they were made, I'd really appreciate it!

Also, some of you saw my tutorial on making eyes from spoons. I noticed that many builders struggle with finding or making puppet-size clothing. I know a technique that works for making practically any kind of clothing puppet-sized and was wondering who would be interested in that kind of tutorial. Let me know!

Thanks everyone!

I don't like to speak for everyone but in this instance I will.....bring on the clothing tutorial I am sure it will help many with the difficulty of doing clothing for puppets.

I will see if I have the tutorial in my website collection, however if the website is down I may not have it either.  I will see what I can do.

Update no luck on this end.....I even tried her website/blog and nothing on those sites either.  I know she said that most of the pictures were moved and so the write up on line had blanks she was planning to bring the pictures back but I think she has been very busy.  I hope that Billy comes up with something....

This was the last reply about puppet.com

I also remember him saying that he took the site down because it was highjacked by some spammers and that it was going to take a little more time to get it secure and back up and running.

You don't miss anything until it is gone............... that makes you think well it does me especially when folks are doing this free.

@Stigman Alright I'll start working on a piece and start photographing asap then =D And thanks for trying

@Billy XD I didn't need eye tutorials but thanks anyways

@Na Thanks so much! And no tutorial w/o pics is better than no tutorial at all!

Perhaps if you can find the original post on Puppetry Lab.com ... I couldn't find it, but I ran out of time to look. If it's there, it should have the pics.
