I feel like they are cute and fun but is that really enough.  I've decided that if I seriously want to involve my self professionally in the puppetry business I need to present myself professionally as well.

I dissagree I like the logo and title and yes they are cute and fun but most of all memorable. Thats what you want something people will remember and I think you have that already. i wish you all the luck!!

LOVE the new logo!  This revision is perfect!

Thanks everybody for your honest and energetic responses.  I know some of you like the first bashful puppet and many seem to prefer the second.  Since I designed both I'd have to say that I like them both.  I know that the puppet is more obvious in the second, almost in your face it's so obvious.  but I have to be honest I kind of miss the shield.  For me there is a since of history that is evoked with family crests and coats of arms.  At the same time the color and punch of the new one is something that I thought was missing.  So I asked and it seemed that others thought so too.

As yet I haven't been able to come up with a design that incorporates both elements.  I guess if it bugs me too much I'll keep working at it and maybe in the future you see a third evolution fo the bashful puppet.

Anyway for now I have scripts to write and puppets to build so it will have to wait.

Thanks for your feed back and any comments or suggestions are always welcome.

I like the puppet peeking out from behind the lettering. Perhaps a tiny, tiny version of your crest could be used on the puppets shirt?

Well I gave it another go at the logo and this is what I came up with.  decided for this try to completely remove the shield and make the puppet more obviously a puppet and lots of color.  (maybe too much)

Tell me what you think.

Bashful Puppet New

I really like this version of your logo, perhaps adding your shield to the shirt, would give you the combinatin you need.

I agree with Jomama.  I'd use that one for advertising and letterhead and the other smaller one for your avatar and smaller square shaped places.

(I'd say "no" on the crest - not relavent.  Your whole family isn't a group of bashful puppet lovers, is it?  Leave the family crest for a family reunion logo or wear it on your shirt or have it appliqued to your bedroom pillows or put on the front door of your house.)

I'm not sure I agree that my family crest is completely irrelavant but I certainly understand that perspective.  What I do wholy agree with is that the puppetry part needs to not be confused or competed with by its presence.  I've experiment with different placements of the crest (even a liny one on the shirt).  As yet none of the options have been attractive to me so I continue to leave it off.  the Logo needs to be clear, clean and simple.  As yet the crest has cluttered and confused it.

Thanks for your input everybody.

I really like the shield to almost like a "Kilroy was here" thing. It makes him seem more bashfull to me. Either are very nice and whats important is that you like the new look. Remember you can't please everyone all the time.

I agree Jay I liked the shield to..................... although I got a different message from it and it was a positive one. At the time I did not realize it was a family shield. It made me feel as if the puppet was being protected. Sometimes being bashful as a child it is hard to communicate with others easily. This logo represented a lot of different emotions. I guess it is how one looks at it. As long as you are happy with it Jon what ever logo you decide to use is good enough for me.
