First post Posted by Jorge on Sep 10, 2008
Well, this is just to say hello.
I have been reading the forum as guest for a month more or less, and it was time to register!
I make puppets just for fun, I do not perform with them or sell, marionettes are my favourite, but I also have made some Muppet style.

I have enjoyed reading, I hope to write if I can help with my little experience.

I apologize if my Englis is not as good as I wish

Welcome indeed! I know I have learned so much in a short time here, as well as just enjoying being around folks who share my love of puppets. And your English is certainly much better than my Spanish!

Thanks for the wellcome!
I have tried to upload a photo of one marionette, but I could't.  I have been searching in the forum how to do, but when I click Additional options I just see the options "Notify me of replies", "Return to this topic"  "Don't use smileys" and "Lock this topic." no the option "Attach" I was specting to find

I do not know what I'm doing wrong

I'm not sure if this is correct.......... Shawn will have to explain it better. I believe the site is set that you can not use certain features until you have made or contributed a certain amount of post............ not sure if it is 10 or 15. This keeps spammers from stopping by and posting and not returning. Like I said Shawn can explain this more and he can change the settings to allow you to upload pictures and such. So just hang on until he post the answers for you.

Jorge,

We no longer use the attachment feature for adding images to post. We now use the Gallery for doing that. You first need to upload the image to your Album in the Gallery. Here is the direct link to Your Album.  Once you are there you'll see an Add Photo link in the center of the screen.  This is only there the first time before you have uploaded an image. Click it and add an image.  The next time you want to add an image you can use the Add Items link that is in the drop down menu on the left in the Gallery box to add images when you are in Your Album.

Once an image is uploaded you can use the Gallery Image button that you see at the bottom of the Post screen. Click on it then use the Subalbums dropdown menu to Go to User Albums.  Once there again use the dropdown menu to select your album. It is called Jorge by default.  Now you just select the image you want in the post and it well put a small thumbnail of that image linked so folks can see it bigger in the Gallery.
