Re: "Covering pattern" from Project Puppet Posted by Na on Sep 18, 2008
This is slightly off topic, but I wanted to ask what people think of this:

I'm almost finished with a muppet pattern to sell, and was considering selling it in two parts... the head and neck in one, and the body/arms in the other. I was thinking of doing it this way because the head can be used with any body shape, and I you could do a sort of 'mix and match' (ie. what if you want a female body instead of male).

Is this a good idea? Or should it just be one pattern?

Why don't you offer it as a complete pattern and as separate patterns.... This will please everyone and give you more of a  selection to chose from.

My pattern is complete and I'm working on the directions now. It will be available in a PDF format. Then my kits will follow based on the pattern and will come with upgrade options. Just waiting for some supplies.

I'd sell it as one pattern with a male body, and then sell the female body as an add-on pattern.

Hmmm... thanks guys. I think I might do it as Billy suggests (mainly because I like the idea of mix and match     )
