Yes I am just wondering where to purchase 1/2" and 1" polyfoam. Any feedback would be appreciated. And is this type the same as anybody uses (P22 Regular Upholstery Foam)

You can use either 1/2 or 3/4 inch, I would not suggest 1 inch it is to thick and makes it hard to manipulate the mouth.  People use either regular foam, like you mentioned or a longer lasting more durable foam called Scott Foam (riticulated foam).  It is a bit pricer but if you want the puppets to last this would be the stuff.  If you are new to all this and want to experiment then use the less expensive stuff until you feel that you want to go to the more expensive stuff.

Your local fabric store probably carries polyfoam (JoAnn's).

If there is an apppolstery supply shop close to you,check to see what they carry.That is where I bought my foam.
