New Project Posted by jomama on Sep 29, 2008
This is a new puppet I'm working on, I have to add the arms and eyes and he will be done. I plan to have pose-able hands and removable armrods and a seperate glove to use as human hand. I'll post more photos when he is done.

He looks like he is going to be a lot of fun once he is finished!!!!
By the way, what is prompting your possible move to another country?  And how soon will you be moving?

My hubby works for GM and has been developing systems that are being implemented corporate wide. So when the system goes into a plant he may have to go to implement that system. Do not know how soon the move will happen. It isn't even a for sure, but we are prepared for anything.

Billy, I guess you could say I have the building bug. I have lots of time and lots of materials, so what better use can I put both to.

I'm haveing trouble deciding on eyes for this guy. His head is large, so I don't want tiny eyes on him, and I don't think I want flat eyes. Any suggestions? I have a couple of plastic balls that are about the size of a baseball that I've thought of using, but not sure. Any suggestions?

Ping pong ball eyes?

Is he a blacklight puppet?  I like the colour.

What about using a Javex bottle cut out any shape eyes and use black glass eyes that they use on teddy bears they are very effective for large eyes.

Just another thought.

Hey Sue...the puppet is looking great so far!!
Here is a link I had used to purchase acrylic domes (these are the same domes I used on my Fang character)
This might be one way to go?!?!?

p.s. as you can see from the site they can be kinda pricey

Nerf ballistic foam balls and dense foam raquet balls are larger than ping pong balls at 1 5/8 and 2 inches in diameter respectively.  I'd cut those in half.  Soft dome door stops are about 2 inches as well as and exist as half spheres already.

Toon Asylum:
Is fang in your gallery?  I'd like to see him made up in those dome eyes.
