I film under hot lightsd so you sweat no matter what. I think its a matter of what you like and don't like. Personal preference has a lot to do with it.

I try. Trouble is copyrights are such a difficult area to discuss, especially with all the new Creative Commons stuff. It can be very confusing.

Trial and error answered the question for me.  At first I lined them and it felt and looked great.  But like Jay said if you are out and about with your puppets the moister becomes an issue.  The last three puppets i've made have not been lined and it's not an issue anymore.  So if you plan on selling them you need to think about the fact it may get used inside or outside.
