New Design Posted by jomama on Oct 06, 2008
Finally came up with a design I like for a sheep. Will be working on the build as time permits. This one will be a challenge because of the head shape. I'll try to take photos as I go along and post the results. I don't want this to be a one of a kind, I will be developing a pattern from this build. Hate to keep reinventing the wheel every time I'm asked to build a puppet.

BTW I accidentally deleted my gallery, so unless Shawn can recover it, I will need to redo the entire thing. Bummer!

Did you draw that jomama?  I really like it.  I saw that sketch earlier in your gallery and thought you were going to use that for your avatar.  It's really cute.

Yes I did draw this guy. I drew him with the Paint program on my computer, it can be challenging to get the shapes right, but overall I am pleased with his look. Now I just have to get the build going, but I have to finish Na's pattern test first as well as building a fully articulated bunraku puppet for Detroit Regional.

He certainly has potential.

Very cute little drawing.....you did a great job especially for using a challenging program.....you must have a pretty steady hand and lots of patience.

Jomama:
Now I have another reason to go to the Detroit Regionals.  I'll want to see your puppets.  Are you bringing a bunch?

Pam, I will have some of my puppets with me, but since OWS doesn't allow outside vendors at Regionals, I will not be bringing ones to sell. I will have some to show for examples in my classes and always hand out my card. As for bringing a bunch, I don't have a bunch left, I'm in the process of donating them to Ministry Resources International as well as a couple of other puppet ministries I met at IFest this year. Needed to make room for the new creations.
