My first video Posted by Jon on Oct 07, 2008
Here's my first attempt at making a puppet video.  Admittedly its a little rough but I posting it because it shows Joshua Junebug in action.   Let me know what you think.

While I was looking up your video on you tube you must have figured it out. Joshua looks good oon camera. I think he may be bugging you to do it more often now that he has stars in his eyes. Great job Jon.

I think your bug looks good on camera too!  I think your video is wonderfully cute.  This is the caliber of stuff I enjoy.  Joshua has a gentle likeable personality like Kermit the frog.  I want to go to school now with Joshua JuneBug.

Hi Jon,
great video. Joshua looks fantastic. hope we get to meet the other pupils this way soon aswell. is it difficult to make a video? i tried a little while ago but for some reason the sound and video were out of sync?
Joshua seems like a great bug to befriend on a first day at school. loved his personality and the puppeteering too.
well done again.

cheers

Great work Jon!  I love Joshua's voice.  I am sure you'll only get better at it. If the background well accommodate it you might want to set the camera a bit further from your acting area. This would make a great short video that could be played at schools as a teaser by teachers if the group was going to come and perform there.   You could add in some sound effects to the video after filmed it. One such instance occurred to me as I watched the video. At the end you could have added a school bell FX and then have Joshua say "Well there is the school bell, I have to get to class."  or something similar. You could have started it with the sound of a bus pulling up and then have Joshua enter the scene or have sounds of children playing in the background. The possibilities are endless.

Thanks everybody.

Yeah I've got to play around with camera placement and learning how to keep myself out of the picture and all that stuff.  Thats the main thing I'm wanting to improve, the puppeteering skills.  After that I'll add in some sound effects to help fill out the story.

I've got to work fast because a friend thats into amartuer vido production wants to work on producing some more professional quality short videos with the puppets.  Hopefully we can start working on that early next year.
