Black Light fabrics at Hancocks? Posted by emsme on Oct 13, 2008
Does anyone know off hand which fleece Northern Lights fabrics react to black light at Hancock's?
I'm starting a new project for my church and accidentally left my black light at home. The only fabric store around my area is Hancock's and I'm headed there straight after class. So, any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. I've searched some older posts and have only found 1 so far- Northern Lights O. Lime.

I'm not sure if the " Northern Lights " colors are blacklight reactive but I would like to say that for making puppets the fabric is real thin and does Pill quite a bit and in my opinion does not make good puppets. thought I would let you know before you do like me and buy up a bunch when it is on sell. Try the other fleece that is anti-pill.

Usually, for black light, I use swimwear; if I'm purchasing it there.  You will have a hard time finding one that doesn't react to blacklights.  (As long as it's yellow, orange, lime, white, or pink.)  I've had a hard time finding fleece just at Hancocks that is blacklight reactive.  Usually, I will order it online.
Sorry I couldn't help more!

Howdy.  Yes the Northern Lights - O'lime does shine brightly under the blacklight.  See the blacklight Stringbean in this video ;

One of their oranges looks pretty good also.  I don't remember if it's Northern Lights or Fireside, but it looks neon orange under normal light. So you should be able to pick it out.

If you are looking for orange, green or yellow I carry all three on my site.  I also have several different spandex prints.

I'd be happy to send you free samples.  You are welcome to contact me via my website.  If you have any other questions I'd love to help.
