Sue did you make the presents at I-Fest this year?
I made my ornaments out of styrofoam balls - I did not want to mess with cutting the ornaments. I know you told me that the ones you made at I-Fest were probably cut with a dremmel, but I decided to take the easy way so it would be something that children could make!

I made these presents five years ago. They are based on the presents from IFest. Vicki Knuckles and I were co-directors of our puppet team. I make mine a little different than she does.
I love your ornaments, much simpler and less expensive than using the plastic ornaments. Are they painted first with glitter added?
Sue

They are even more simple, just "paint" the balls with watered down tacky glue or Mod Podge and then sprinkle with glitter. That's all!

Love these puppets (There's another thing on the long list of puppets I want to try)

Yeah, that LONG list of puppets we would like to try! I keep buying supplies for making them but do not get anywhere! Some day!!

I just love both types of puppets, ornaments and gift boxes - they are so cute and have so much personality. Then again, maybe you can tell from my avatar here that I love Christmas in general.
Thanks for sharing everybody.

Hey Ron - thinking about your comment on loving Christmas - have you ever read the three books by Jeff Guinn? The are The Autobiography of Santa Claus, How Mrs. Claus saved Christmas and The Great Santa Search. If you have not read them I would HIGHLY recommend them. I discovered them last year and read all three. I bought the first one on CD so we could listen to it on the way to Colorado for snowboarding. I can't think three more enjoyable books. The way Jeff Guinn weaved historical facts into the legend of Santa Claus is totally delightful. You really should read them!! You will love Santa Claus even more!! There is even a cookbook too! I gave them to my mother-in-law too and she enjoyed them too! Anyway, just a suggestion for those down times (wait what is down time, spare time and relaxation ).
